Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to be an artist to come to Good Practice?

1

Not at all. Good Practice is designed for people at all levels of experience, including those who don’t consider themselves “creative.” The studio exists to support curiosity and exploration, not skill, output, or prior training.

What happens during a session?

2

1. Show up
2. Choose your materials
3. Create
4. Go home! We'll clean up your mess. You can take your creation with you, leave it with us to reuse or recycle, or display it in our "free little art gallery" for someone else to take home.

Can I come alone, or is this better as a group activity?

3

Both are welcome. Some people come with friends or partners, while others arrive solo and enjoy the quiet companionship of making alongside others. Good Practice is designed to feel comfortable either way.

Is Good Practice a class or a workshop?

4

Good Practice is not a traditional class. There’s no instruction, critique, or hierarchy. The studio functions as a shared creative space where guidance is available if needed, but participation is self-directed and paced by you.
